Circle of Care is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting Passaic County multiple-needs children and their families. We partner with families to provide support for children with complex needs including behavioral, emotional, and developmental disabilities.

The Clinical Consultant will use their knowledge and experience to provide clinical consultation to DCP&P and its System Partners. They will serve as an expert consultant, translator, and educator.

Provide clinical consultations and make recommendations to DCP&P case workers regarding behavioral health, mental health, substance use and developmental disabilities for youth and adults

Interpret records, evaluations and assessments (i.e. psychiatric, psychological evaluations) and assist DCP&P staff with gaining a clinical understanding of the needs of the family.

Translate clinical language into user-friendly language for non-psychological professionals, including DCP&P employees, youth and families and other formal and informal supports.

Educate DCP&P staff on when to access Clinical Consultant services and how to recognize mental and behavioral health issues and concerns.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Master's Degree in Social Work.
NJ clinical licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Trauma informed clinical experience working with the child welfare service delivery system and the Children's System of Care.
Minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience providing direct care to at-risk youth and their families.
Valid drivers' license
A heart for children with complex needs including behavioral, emotional, and developmental disabilities and their families
